[.ca] Windows with Style: Do-ItYourself Window Treatments (ISBN 0865733481)

outdated:
The ideas in this book are almost laughable. The projects that are shown wouldn't even look good with different fabrics. If you are into lots of ruffles and pouffy things everywhere, then this is for you. If you are into simpler window treatments with exquisite fabrics that complement a room, this isn't for you.

Worth every cent!!!:
I am not one to spend on a decorating magazine but this was a must!! Tons of Ideas that can be altered to accommodate the decor of the room your window is in. They show you all the how to's in simple steps. Not to mention all the color photos of the finished product! 220 pages of ideas that even the most challenged home decorator could appreciate!! Buy it and if not at least go borrow it from the library!

WINDOW TREATMENTS FOR DUMMIES:
THIS BOOK IS EXCELLANT, I HAVE JUST RECENTLY GOT INTO DECORATING AND OF COURSE I WANT THE EASY WAY I HAVENT DONE ANY PROJECTS OUT OF THIS BOOK YET BUT JUST BY LOOKING THRU IT SEEMS SO SIMPLE I CANT WAIT TO GET STARTED WITH SOME OF THESE IDEAS THAT I WOULD HAVE NOT EVEN THOUGHT OF

Great book with great examples:
This is a great book with wonderful examples of various curtain/drape styles. The pictures show the exact steps one needs to take to complete a project--from measuring, cutting, sewing, hanging... If one is a beginner, one can follow the book step by step and end up with wonderful curtains. If one is an accomplished seamstress, one can really take off with various ideas from this book. This is a no-nonsense, solid and beautiful book.

A real disappointment:
I was hoping for a book to give me some great ideas for window treatments and this book is full of just plain tacky window treatments. It does make it very easy to make them, but who would want to? The fabrics are cheap-looking and who wants a window with ties connected to potted plants? The book is also lacking some of the most basic design concepts that I really wanted like balloon valances or just plain old curtains that open along a rod. This was my first return to Amazon. I have no use for this book.
