what a great table:
My son is 13 months and hated to sit in his high chair but loved to sit at the coffee table to eat dinner. This table is perfect for him. It is not too tall for him to sit in the little chairs and it is a good height where he can stand and take things off the top. It is something that he can grow with. His favorite part is the chairs. He loves to "drive" the chairs acrossed the floor. The only problem that I have is that the chairs are not weighted at the bottom and the chairs tip very easy.

I am very pleased with the table and chair set. It is perfect for my 2-year-old daughter. She is able to get in and out of the chairs easily and it looks like she won't be growing out of the set anytime soon. Her 6-year-old brother enjoys sitting at the table also and has plenty of room.

Dangerous toy!:
We bought this to go along with the kitchen and it has caused so many accidents in our house. We tried it on the kitchen floor and then move it down to the playroom which is carpeted. The chairs are so light they tip -- add in a toddler's lack of balance or unrefined gross motor skills and there is an accident waiting to happen. I actually don't even let anyone play on them anymore. In addition, the set is poorly made. The piece of wood that holds the drawer in place broke off so that it no longer fits in. 2 legs have fallen off. I'm not sure what sort of plastic paint this has on it but every time I clean it, there is green all over the cleaning cloth. That can't be healthy. Especially for kids that are constantly mouthing things.

Classic Step 2 Quality:
If you have any of the Step 2 kitchens that match this set, go for it! Great Step 2 durability + the creativity it invokes. My daughter (3) immediately set up dolls and bears and "served" them. I'm sure we will get years of use out of this. If you don't have a kitchen either - it is a must have. All my kiddos (the other 3 are boys ages 7, 5, 2)play with the kitchen. It's not girly and I think that helps.
