[.ca] Substitute Teaching from A to Z

Not for high school substitutes:
From the description it is not clear as to whether this is a substitute book for elementary or high school. It is GREAT for elementary teachers and some of the information is applicable to both. But, for the most part, I found it inadequate for high school substitute teaching.

Does what it says:
This book delivers everything it promises. It is detailed, easy to read, and comprehensive. I recommend this book to new substitute teachers who are unsure about what they are getting themselves into.

Great Sub Guide!:
This book has a really been a good resource to go to. I started substituting a month ago and now I feel pretty confident since I read this book thoroughly. If you need to refer to a guide and need insider tricks, this book is for you.

Good for Beginners:
This is a great book for someone beginning to sub. It had some excellent ideas on how to manage the classroom (which is always one of the biggest fears). The "extra time" ideas are fun and creative and there are pleanty of good printable worksheets. All in all, and excellent addition to your library.

Best book on the subject:
I read a lot of books on the subject before I began. This was BY FAR the best one, and it covered topics none of the others did. Shortly after I read this book, I was called to sub for intermediate school PE, then Special Ed and math from Math Mastery to AP Statistics. Without this book, I would have felt unable to handle the subjects. Instead, I am enjoying myself hugely and getting requested over and over. This is a wonderful resource.
