'Atropurpurea' has the same carefree nature as other vincas, but just look at the blooms! large, showy, and beautifully colored a dusty rose, they make a nice change of pace for your ground cover plantings! the blooms arise in mid- to late spring, held up well for maximum showiness. 'Atropurpurea' is perfect for overplanting the spring-blooming bulb garden, for covering poor soil quickly, or for blanketing the dusty spaces beneath trees and shrubs where few other plants are happy.
