Zurn PEX QCRT3CM 1/2" CTS Medium Crimping Tool Designed for new construction or professional plumbing, the Zurn PEX Crimp System utilizes brass fittings and copper crimp rings, and eliminates the need for solvents, chemicals, solder, and flame. It's a "no sweat" plumbing method keyed to the demand of reduced plumbing costs. Zurn PEX Crimp System offers fast, efficient installations. Proper techniques and correct tool use are readily learned by apprentices and journeymen. Installation is neat and professionally satisfying, and is accepted behind the wall. Note: Only annealed copper crimp rings are appropriate for use with copper and brass insert fittings. Zurn PEX crimp fittings and rings are not interchangeable with polybutylene crimp fittings and rings. Zurn crimp tools are designed for use on annealed copper only. The use of hard rings can result in shortened tool life or improperly sized crimps. Each ZURN PEX copper ring is stamped with "QQ" and PEX, and is black in color to readily identify that you are using the proper crimp ring. Frequent gauging of crimp joints is recommended.
