Also very highly recommended are two of Ann Lovejoy's previous works: Naturalistic Gardening and The Garden In Bloom.

Beautifully done!:
There are few garden/design books I find to include in my personal library but this one's a keeper! It is a compact little book but packed with a wealth of info--nothing overwhelming, beautiful photographs and very useful in planning for year-round fragrance. She also gives suggestions for alternatives to plants listed in the book, which is also nice. Highly recommended from a novice to a seasoned gardener

Well-written and Beautiful Photos:
I've really enjoyed this book and refer to it with each season. The photos are stunning, and the author includes tons of ideas as far as layout and plant selection. I plan on using this book for years to come.
