the description wasn't truthful:
The description of the book on Amazon said the book covered single-membrane roofs. That is the reason I bought this, plus all of the favorable reviews that all the other Black & Decker Complete Guide books receive. I wanted to know how to replace single-membrane rubber roofs on flat/low-pitch roofs. Well, this book didn't do anything for that.
Half complete guide:
This is a good book to use in planning what type of roof or siding that would suit your project. Then buy a book how to work that particular roof or siding.
Helpful:
Helpful. Helps clue you in if you have never done roofing or siding work before. Won't magically turn you into a tradesperson (nothing can without on-the-job experience), but will clue you in on how stuff is done. I imagine that even people in the trade might benefit from it, if only to see variations on the way that their own company does things.
