Waterford Crystal Limited-Edition Red Rose Paperweight

Categories:

Waterford introduced this limited edition crystal rose paperweight in the spring of 2005. Signed by the glass artist/designer, Tom Brennen, the rose is hand-crafted of full-lead crystal which gives the piece not only the renowned Waterford clarity and brilliance, but a substantial sense of weight for its three-by-three-inch size. The petals unfurl with a graceful fluidity, and a special red base bonded to the rose creates a vibrant ruby glow at different angles. A perfect Mother's Day present or simply a token of love, this rose-shaped paperweight adds radiance to a desk or dresser. Like all fine crystal, the rose paperweight can be washed by hand if need be, although an occasional dusting or wiping with a soft cloth will keep the crystal shining. This highly collectible piece comes handsomely packaged in a Waterford gift box. --Ann Bieri From the Manufacturer This piece has been signed by artist Tom Brennen. It is a limited-edition piece. About Tom Brennen, second generation craftsman: From a young age, Waterford Crystal Blower, Tom Brennan, aspired to follow in his father's footsteps, by participating in a 200-year tradition of fine crystal craftsmanship. Always a craftsman, Tom's experience in blowing glass and experimenting with new designs and shapes allows him to transform the designer's dream into beautiful, hand-crafted works of art. In 1999, Tom graduated from the Waterford Institute of Technology with a business studies degree. His studies continue in the General Management area of business. He resides in the city of Waterford with his wife Stephanie and enjoys listening to music and pursuing his keen interest in cars.
