Add remote control capabilities to a light or appliance in your house with the three-way-ready HAI UPB 600-Watt Non-Dimming Switch, and you'll not only be able to insert the light or appliance into scenes, but you'll be able to control it remotely from another room in your home. This UPB Non-Dimming Switch is used for controlling loads up to 600 watts. UPB technology uses your existing wiring, so you don't need to run wires in order to take advantage of its properties. The switch uses standard Decora-style mechanics and a standard Decora-style wall plate (sold separately). The HAI UPB 600-Watt Non-Dimming Switch uses Universal Powerline Bus technology for superior performance and reliability. Similar to the standard X10 protocol, Universal Powerline Bus technology uses your existing power wires, so no rewiring is necessary in order to use this switch. But UPB benefits include its higher reliability, since its signal strength is stronger than X10, with increased electrical noise resistance. UPB products are NOT X10 compatible. This 600 Watt UPB Non-Dimming Switch works as a stand-alone lighting or appliance controller or may be used with room controllers, house controllers, or automation controllers. In addition, it may be used as a three-way controller when you add a UPB auxiliary switch (sold separately). UPB technology allows enough individually addressable devices to control even large residential environments, usually without the need for phase coupling and without affecting or being affected by adjacent home environments. This wall switch controller mounts in a standard wall electrical box. Please note that the HAI UPB 600w Non-Dimming Switch does require the use of the white neutral wire, where most standard switches have no connection for the neutral.
