Manetti 23 Karat Glass Gold...Glass Gold differs than Patent Gold because it is not adhered to a thin tissue. Its name originates from its use on Glass Doors and Glass Windows. Glass Gold can not be handled without the use of a Gilder's Tip. The Gilder's Tip is a special brush that is charged with Static electricity (from brushing it on your own head like rubbing a balloon on your head and sticking it to the wall). The picture at the right shows a Gilder's Tip lifting the thin Glass Gold Leaf. Glass Gold Leaf is ideal for application onto textured artwork because it can be gently pushed into the cracks and crevices with a soft camel hair brush. The leaves are 3-3/8" x 3-3/8" and sold 25 per book. See also:
