1996 Green Beeng Cha Tea Leaves - Edition 8582 - Vintage ...

Categories:

1996 Green Beeng Cha is known for the old tree leaves that it is made from. The leaves are large, intact and still raw; they are preserved perfectly for brewing or additional aging. The leaves are deep brown in color. The taste is light and mild, with a full aftertaste. There is nothing like tapping into the budding flavor of your tea cake, only to understand the true complexities of its potential years down the road when you taste its brew again. Now, the tea has all the notes of a slow-aged Pu-erh, and the flavor will only become more mellow as the years go by. Drinking teas like 1996 Green Beeng Cha makes you really appreciate every subtlety that slow oxidation yields. The leaves can be brewed at least 5 or 6 times with excellent results, and the flavor continually changes with each cup. This coveted cake can become quite valuable, and is worth holding on to as time passes.
