A Diamond in The Northwest Rough:
I know today it seems every guy who can find access to a guitar seems to come out with an album, but Jon Garcia is not your average bum singer songwriter, unlike 3/4 of the guys out trying to make it, he balances being talented at both acoustic and electric indie-alt rock like most wish they could. he really is better at the more upbeat material on this album by a long shot, but his mellow stuff is impressive as well. The best tracks, which will win you over unless you're sensless to recognizing true talented musicianship are # 3,8,9,& 10 ! garcia has a skill for writing incredible lyrics and is the best singer song-writer to emerge from portland since elliot smith. don't miss out on one of the best new artists to come out in 2007. jon garcia won't let you down, his album is one you will be glad you purchased.
