love, love, and, er... love:
jason traeger's "my religion is love" is a rare gem in an era of cynicism. he sings about love and hope in a way that would seem sarcastic, but on repeated listens it become clear that he means every word. he tells us "don't give up on a good thing, because a good thing has not given up on you," and we listen. the music is great as well. a leap from standard indie pop fare, with cascading mellowtrons, drumming by scott plouf (built to spill), phil elvrum (microphones), and heather dunn (tigertrap.) it's full of people and good times. recommended.
