Great, unless you sleep on your side!:
Those who gave this mask a 4 or 5-star review obviously do not sleep on their side or stomach. If they did, the bulky parts of this mask would dig into their face and side of the head, making it difficult to sleep. For sitting up while travelling in a plane or train, these would be terrific, as they put no pressure on the eyes, are extremely comfortable, and totally block out the light. The same goes for those who sleep on their backs. But when the mask makes contact with your pillow, bad things happen. I took out some of the threads, unraveling the bottom part of the mask in an attempt to make it bearable, and it helped. Notice that the picture on the box has a woman sleeping -on her back-! Rating: 5 stars for sitting up or sleeping on one's back 1 star for sleeping one one's side
It can be washed in washer dryer:
I've been using mine for a couple of years. I put it in the wash EVERY week and air dry. It's still fine. Showing some wear, but it must be washed, otherwise your facial oils and lotions will build up on the mask and can cause breakouts. I sleep on my side, back, stomach . . no issues.
THE BEST!!:
I have used this for YEARS and washed it with no problems. I love it and wouldn't dream of traveling without it. It's comfortable and does not interfere with my sleep at all.
Not A Good One for Me:
A couple of people at work had this one and really liked it. First of all, it does block out ALL light...very effective. My problems with it is that it's a little heavy feeling against my eyes and face even though I tried to adjust the straps. I'm also a "side-sleeper" and this product was very uncomfortable to try to do that. I ended up giving mine to one of the people at work who has worn theirs out. I ended up with Revolutionary, Patented SLEEP MASTER tm Sleep Mask. It's much lighter, I can sleep on my side and although it doesn't keep out every pinhole of light it certainly is effective.
A good night's sleep:
I bought this product for my step-son who needs to sleep during the day. He'd tried different curtains, etc., but couldn't make his space dark enough. He reports it's very comfortable and blocked out all the light so he's able to sleep soundly.
