New ways in mexican folklore:
San Pascualito Rey is universally recognized for musical originality and a genuinely eclectic sound. Their name is inspired by the misinterpretation of the name of a Catholic saint by the indigenous of southeast Mexico. This religious icon represents "death" as a good specter - in other words, San Pascualito Rey is the saint of the good death. The band transforms all of the spectral and magical cultural cores, extracting the essence of traditional Mexican music, assembling it into a modern idiom, creating strangely beguiling bizarre, softly dark, real Mexican rock. San Pascualito Rey launched in 2000 from the same Mexico City suburb where Café Tacuba emerged, and they have wowed crowds at the most distinguished rock events all around Mexico.

San pascualito rey was born in the year 2000, they were the invited band of Javier Corcobado in the Hard Rock Live in Mexico City. Their eclectic sound is a delicious mix of rock, lounge, dark, electronic and the mexican folklore, they have called their sound as "dark guapachoso". Their lirycs are about love, dislike, live and dead. The full record is a fantastic experience. A very nice recommendation.
