Book Description: Sometimes you just have to laugh. If your hair is always perfect; if you always have an umbrella when it rains; or if you are never, ever late, this is not the book for you. If, however, you sometimes wake up feeling fat, are late for work, are gossiped about, are screamed at by your children, and are not fully adored and nurtured by your beloved, then this is the book for you. Life doesn't always work out the way we plan. There are good surprises and there are bad surprises. Jenny McCarthy, the New York Times bestselling author of Baby Laughs and Belly Laughs, told you the truth about childbirth and about the first year of mommyhood. Now she's telling the truth about learning to juggle it all: work, motherhood, romance, sex; and even what to do when a relationship just isn't working anymore. She doesn't have all of the answers, but she knows what it's like to be a modern woman in a mixed-up world—and she's not holding back. With outrageously funny musings on faking it, what to do when your man thinks your friend is a bitch, hiding the Visa bill, and what to do when you turn into your parents, Life Laughs is the perfect book for those days when you just want to crawl back into bed, the days you want to raise a glass with friends, and anytime you just want to giggle.
Too funny!: I finished this book in two days it was that funny. I even told my husband some of the stories from the book! I won't go into much , just read the book!
Loved the frank humor !!: Loved this local girl's frankness and humor. She is not ashamed to poke fun at herself and tell it like it is !!
Life Laughs: I liked the book a lot. You could tell though in a lot of the writing that her marriage was not what it seemed to be in her first two books. She goes from gushing about her husband to everything he did became fodder for her to pick on. Fortunately, she changes perspectives and let's you know about the divorce in the book. Otherwise it is funny, just like the other to books previous to it. Worth the read.
Hillarious: This is one of the most hillarious books I have read in years!! I reccommend this to anyone that is looking for a great, quick read!! Way to go Jenny!!!
Hilarious and honest: i have to disagree with those who disliked this book. i bought this book from the bargain bin at walgreens. at the time i knew nothing about jenny mccarthy, except that she was dating jim carrey and she has an autistic kid. but the excerpts on the back cover were kinda funny, so i bought it. i had no idea she was so funny. and brutally honest. she is able to poke fun at herself along with everything else. she made a fan out of me, and i just ordered her other two "naked truth" books becasue i can't wait to see her take on motherhood and pregnancy.
