An amazing album by a truly gifted artist:
Closer to Home is my favorite album. I have it in my car and just hit Repeat as I drive to work. Janie's music is full of warm melodies and touching lyrics. All the songs on this cd are love songs of sorts: songs about love in early bloom, love that's ebbing, or love that's moved on. Love isn't the easiest thing to write about, but Janie does so with a painter's eye and a mystic's heart. Her music reminds me alot of the Indigo Girls, Patty Griffin and Sarah McLachlan. This album is a definite keeper.
